SENIOR ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY
Nicholas J. Moore is a Senior Associate Attorney at Antonyan Miranda.
Mr. Moore has over a decade of experience in family law, juvenile law, and criminal and civil litigation. He has represented over a thousand clients in complex legal matters, including high-stakes dependency cases, domestic violence proceedings, and felony criminal trials. His litigation background includes extensive trial experience, from major felony jury trials including homicide (1st degree murder), aggravated kidnapping, torture, and multi-million-dollar fraud and embezzlement matters to civil bench trials involving adverse possession, defamation, fraud, and domestic violence restraining orders.
Prior to joining Antonyan Miranda, Mr. Moore served as a Staff Attorney at Dependency Legal Services San Diego, where he represented parents in juvenile dependency matters. Preceding that position, he was a Supervising Staff Attorney at Free to Thrive, providing pro bono legal representation to survivors of human trafficking and domestic violence.
Mr. Moore has been deeply involved in the domestic violence legal community throughout his career, having litigated hundreds of Domestic Violence Restraining Orders (DVROs) and Civil Harassment Restraining Orders (CHROs), while working closely with advocacy organizations and law enforcement to develop trial strategies around domestic violence and family law. He has also served as a legal educator, lecturing at national conferences and training attorneys, judges, and social workers on best practices in family law and domestic violence litigation.
Mr. Moore earned his Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, where he received the CALI Award for Professional Responsibility and Ethics. Mr. Moore also holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, giving him a strong foundation in asset valuation and complex financial matters in family law cases.
Beyond his legal practice, Mr. Moore is a dedicated community advocate. He serves as a board member for Your Safe Place: A San Diego Family Justice Center, is a volunteer at One Safe Place, and previously chaired the San Diego County Bar Association’s Family Law Section. His contributions to the legal profession and his community have earned him recognition, including San Diego Business Journal’s “Best of The Bar” and the San Diego YMCA President’s Award.
