Independent Contractor Updates in 2025

Transcript

“Are you a freelancer or independent contractor? Big news. California is making sure you get paid on time. Now, the employing entity you are working with must give you a written contract and pay you by the due date or within 30 days after the completion for your services. And this new law will also protect you from retaliation if you exercise your rights under the contract or attempt to enforce the law. If someone hasn’t paid you for freelance work, you have legal options. DM us and we’ll help you get what you’re owed.”
