Emilia Arutunian (Mila) is the Director of Antonyan Miranda’s Employment Law Litigation and Personal Injury Relations division. Prior to joining Antonyan Miranda, Mila spent much of her career defending cases in litigation, including representing defendants in personal injury actions and defending businesses against claims and lawsuits involving workplace harassment, discrimination and retaliation.

Mila eventually left the defense side to launch a practice dedicated to seeking justice for employees who have been wronged by their employers- her true passion. Mila continues to pursue plaintiff’s employment claims as well as personal injury litigation.

Mila, who is bilingual English-Russian, has been named Best Lawyers, Ones to Watch in Labor and Employment Litigation four years in a row from 2021 through 2024 and was selected as a Finalist for the San Diego Business Journal’s Leaders in the Law Awards in 2021. She was also named a Super Lawyer from 2021 through 2024. While on the defense side, Mila also worked as an expert in training employers by providing trainings, advice, and counsel to assist employers in preventing and correcting discrimination, harassment and retaliation against employees in the workplace.

Mila served as the President of the San Diego County Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Section in 2021 and 2022, and has been a Chair of the Lawyers Club of San Diego Life, Law and Parenting Committee consistently from 2021 through the present.
