Melvin began his career as a business litigator and has since honed his practice to focus exclusively on high-value trusts and estates litigation. Earlier in his career, Melvin served as general counsel for several
well-established companies and represented clients in a wide variety of multimillion-dollar real estate and business litigation matters. This background gives Melvin unique knowledge that informs his work on behalf of clients with complex estates and trusts, particularly when their most significant assets and risk profile involve real estate holdings and business investments.

Melvin began practicing law in 2002 after earning his law degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where he served as an Editor on Law Review and was elected Chief Justice of the Student Court. He was also a visiting student at the University of San Diego School of Law. He earned his undergraduate degree with honors from Emory University.
