San Diego Family Law Firm Antonyan Miranda Awards Scholarships to Two California Western School of Law Students

SAN DIEGO—Antonyan Miranda LLP, a San Diego-based family law firm, has awarded scholarships to Deveney Wells-Gibson and Hannah Hickman, third-year students at California Western School of Law.

Antonyan Miranda LLP scholarships are presented to students who have demonstrated a dedicated interest in family law through course work, internships, and volunteering in the community.

“We are very pleased to offer two California Western students Antonyan Miranda Scholarships this year,” said Timothy Miranda, Founding Partner at Antonyan Miranda LLP. “Both Deveney Wells-Gibson and Hannah Hickman have demonstrated a commitment to practice family law at the highest level.”

A 2020 Juris Doctor candidate, Wells-Gibson, spent her undergraduate years at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, where she graduated with a BA in Business Administration.

“I am beyond grateful to have been awarded The Antonyan Miranda, LLP Scholarship,” said Wells-Gibson. “Prior to starting law school, I knew that I wanted to specialize in family law. It was my dream and purpose for enrolling in law school, and now that my dream is almost a reality, I feel that my purpose is stronger than ever,” she added.

Hannah Hickman, also a 2020 Juris Doctor candidate, graduated from the University of Arizona in Tucson with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Criminal Justice Studies. “I was incredibly honored to be awarded the Antonyan Miranda LLP Scholarship,” said Hickman. “I am grateful for being recognized for my dedication to family law. I aspire to continue my career in family law and make a difference in the lives of many.”

As well as supporting law students with the Antonyan Miranda Scholarship Program, the firm offers internships throughout the year. “We are proud to hire California Western graduates and welcome interns throughout the year,” said Founding Partner Ilona Antonyan ‘04. “Each law school intern has an opportunity to shadow one of the many attorneys at our firm and experience the practice of family law firsthand.”
