“So what’s the difference between child custody and child visitation? Well simply put child custody is who has physical custody of the child, meaning where does the child primarily reside? – With one parent? With the other parent? Both parents?
What then is visitation? Visitation is what the other parent has when the child lives with guess what, the other parent. For example if there’s a parenting plan where the child sees Parent X Monday Tuesday and alternating weekends that is visitation, meaning Monday Tuesday and alternating weekends are the visitation dates of Parent X.”
