3 Things You Should NEVER Say to an Insurance Adjuster

What to expect
"Here are three things you should never say to an insurance adjuster after an accident. [music]
Number one, don't ever say you're okay. Even if you feel fine in the moment, keep in mind that after an accident, you probably are packed with adrenaline. And once that adrenaline wears off, you may actually understand how you feel much better. So don't say anything about how you're feeling until you really understand what your injuries look like.
Number two, don't ever say anything about fault. Fault is a legal determination and you should not give the insurance company any ammo they don't deserve. Instead of trying to guess who's at fault, [music] always call the police. No matter how big or small the accident is, let them [music] come out, prepare a report, and determine who is actually at fault.
Number three, don't ever give a recorded statement without first talking to an attorney. The insurance adjuster will call you, be friendly, and ask you to provide a recorded statement, but remember, you have no obligation to do so. And anything you say in that statement can and will be used against you. You may innocently say something wrong during the statement and that can be used to make you out to look like a liar or say you're really not that injured.
So before providing a recorded statement, make sure you talk to an attorney about your rights."
